The Development Pathway
01 School to Course
Our entry point into the game. Through PE lessons, afterschool sessions, and a guided transition onto a partner course, we introduce young Bermudians to golf — building confidence, focus, and teamwork while removing the barriers that keep them off the fairway.
02 Golf Academy Integration
Once on course, players grow through our academy pathway, delivered with Golfzon Leadbetter Academy Bermuda. From Novice to Strikers to Tournament Players, structured coaching develops each young athlete — technically, mentally, and personally — at their own pace.
03 International Competition & Higher Education
For our most committed players, we open doors beyond Bermuda: competitive tournaments, regional and international play, and pathways to college golf and scholarships. Here, golf becomes a vehicle for higher education and lifelong opportunity.
Nurturing Bermuda's Youth: From the Schoolyard to the Fairway
Two programs, one journey — our School Programs plant the seed, and our Golf Academy helps it grow, each designed to feed and sustain the other.
School Programs
Everything begins in the schoolyard. Our School Programs introduce golf where students already feel at home — in PE class. Using modified equipment and fun, age-appropriate games for Years 3 to 5, we help young people build coordination, balance, focus, and teamwork, all while discovering a game many have never had the chance to try. As the term unfolds, enthusiasm becomes opportunity: keen students step into structured afterschool sessions, then take their first swings on a partner golf course, learning etiquette, practice habits, and what it means to belong on the fairway. Delivered across a full school year, the program removes the barriers — cost, access, exposure — that keep so many children away from the game. By the time students complete the year, they leave with more than a new sport; they carry confidence, character, and a clear next step. School-to-Course is where our pathway takes root, feeding naturally into the Golf Academy for those ready to grow.
Golf Academy Pathway
For students ready to take the game further, the Golf Academy is the next stage of the journey. Delivered with Golfzon Leadbetter Academy Bermuda and aligned to Long-Term Athlete Development principles, it meets every player exactly where they are. In the Novice Division, built on the Operation 36 model, players master the fundamentals and earn their way around the course one distance at a time. The Strikers Division bridges development and competition, introducing weekend Stableford play as young athletes grow more independent — technically, mentally, and tactically. The Tournament Players Division shapes high-performance golfers through medal competition, scoring, course management, and the mindset serious play demands. Players progress at their own pace, never rushed and never left behind. Because the Academy begins where the School Programs end, the two complement and sustain one another — a single, seamless pathway from a child's first swing to a competitor's proudest round.
